We create eco-friendly rugs exclusively designed to fit perfectly within your commercial interior project

We transform the floors of exciting businesses in the hotel, resort, food & beverage and commercial industries all across the world with eco-friendly rugs designed exclusively for each client.

Work with our award winning in-house creative team or a specialist artist hand-picked to match the style of your project to create rugs that work perfectly with their surroundings.

Our commercial rugs are made from post-consumer single-use plastic and give you the chance to make a difference by recycling thousands if not millions of plastic bottles into soft and luxurious rugs.

Every rug has a story

Each of our rugs has its own story to tell, and woven into the very fabric is a conceptual idea based on its surroundings. Creating not just an art piece that sits nicely within a space but a focal point that has a deeper connection to be enjoyed at a higher level.

Each rug has also an ecological story to tell in how it has been created from discarded single-use post-consumer waste into a beautiful product to be loved and cherished for many years to come.

A creative journey

Be part of an exciting creative journey where you can be involved as little or as much as you like. From the creation of conceptual ideas and working to develop the design of your commercial rugs to immersing yourself in thousands of colour POMS and finally creating the samples to ensure your rug is absolutely perfect before it finally hits the loom.

From the height of the pile to the type of weave. You have the chance to dictate to us the fundamental details of your rug and be part of an age old creative process.

Mark and Sinead understood our vision and created a very large rug that worked perfectly with the interior. The best thing was over 75,000 plastic bottles were recycled and re-purposed into a beautiful rug that’s so soft, looks great and feels just like wool. It’s the highlight of the room.

Make a global impact

It’s time for change. As a species we now have a responsibility to the planet to transform things for the better. Over consumption of goods and rampant use of plastic is slowly choking the world.

Sustainability has now never been more important in the history of human beings and if we don’t start to act now things will only get worse. We now have the technology available to recycle plastic into new and quality goods so that it doesn’t have to be discarded into the environment.

Just one of our rugs recycles over 3000 plastic bottles which means for large scale projects this can become hundreds of thousands if not millions.

We’re very excited to be able to recycle over 850,000 plastic bottles into beautifully soft rugs for our serviced apartments. It feels like we’re making a difference.

I can’t believe how thick and luxuriously soft the pile is. I thought it was wool.

As soft as wool

We’ve sourced the highest quality PET yarn we could find and it’s indistinguishable from wool. It’s soft the touch, easy to clean and in fact more light resistant than its counterpart. You would never know the difference.

The recycled plastic fibres within each rug are naturally stain-resistant and do not require the chemical treatments used on most nylon carpets, they also retain colour and resist fading from exposure to the sun or harsh cleaning.

And you’ll never have a problem with moths!

Recycling bottles into rugs

The Knot Collective mission is taking on the daunting reality of the continuous rise of plastic waste. Just one rug diverts recycles over 3,000 plastic bottles.

Producing the yarn from an existing manufactured product means we do not need to use precious hydrocarbons to make the polyester material. Reducing energy consumption for manufacturing by 66%, reducing green house gas emissions by over 34% and reducing water consumption by nearly 50%.
